How the Work Unfolds

Phase 1: Trust & Safety

Trauma work can’t happen without safety – with the therapist and within yourself. That’s why we begin by focusing solely on building a genuine connection. You’ll experience a consistent, non-judgmental presence where you can begin to notice what safety feels like in your body.

Phase 2: Skills & Tools

Once we’ve established trust, we move into building your internal toolkit – practical, body-based strategies to regulate emotion and restore balance when you’re activated. You’ll learn and practice personalized grounding techniques, breathwork, and somatic awareness tools that can help you recognize early signs of distress and respond with care instead of fear.

Phase 3: EMDR & Integration

This phase involves reprocessing emotionally charged memories—not by reliving them, but by helping the brain file them away as past events rather than current threats.
